About
Anna kankanala
I’m a Michigan native with a lifelong interest in photography. I moved to Seattle in 2022 with my husband, Nick, and dog, Leia. Soon after relocating to the Pacific Northwest, and inspired by the beauty of my new home, I decided to (finally) pursue actual photographic training. I found The Photographic Center Northwest in Capitol Hill, which gives me structure to explore my visual language and hone my practice.
I am particularly interested in capturing the intersection of the human experience and the natural world, and examining how we, humans, embed ourselves in nature.
Outside of photography, I am an avid hiker, skier, and cook. I completed my B.A. in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University and my MBA from the University of Michigan. I work in enterprise sales for Microsoft, helping organizations adopt AI technologies.
